Located in the heart of the city at Begumpet St. Francis College for Women has a sprawling campus area of 8 acres. Two impressive buildings house spacious classrooms, laboratories, library, reading rooms and conference halls. The campus atmosphere is congenial for the holistic development of the students coming from varied backgrounds. Auditorium
The college can boast of an auditorium which can seat a gathering of 1000 in an area of 20,000 sq ft. An impressive stage with its state of the art acoustics, attached green rooms and other accessories contribute to the success of all cultural and other events conducted here.
Board Room & Lecture Halls
The college has a 100 person capacity fully air-conditioned board room with state of the art equipment to cater for the various meeting requirements.
The college has over 100 spacious lecture halls / classrooms that are well lit airy and well furnished. Each classroom is fitted with a public address system, an effective means of communicating information. The college has provided for 3 large conference halls, wherein seminars, extension lectures and workshops are often conducted. They are equipped with audio-video facilities, LCD projection screens etc.
Canteen
The Canteen provides lunch snacks; beverages and one can have a wonderfully fun filled and relaxed time with popular music in the background. Located amidst rocks with its colourful array of posters, it offers the perfect ambience for informal student interaction.
Library
The Library services are fully computerized with updated software “SLIM 21” and has a collection of 60,000 and above books. Access to E-journals from J-Gate-Informatics is provided. It also subscribes to more than 100 Journals/Magazines. The library is kept open for 290 days in an academic year and works between 8:30 am to 5 pm.
Laboratories
Well-equipped laboratories are spread out on the ground and first floors of both the buildings. A new laboratory is designed exclusively for Internet Access with 26 systems and provides broadband connectivity. Staff and students can access any information they want over the Internet thus extending the boundaries of learning from the classroom to the time and place of their choice.
AXIS ( Research Center )
To expand campus research facilities for staff and students, the college has set up St. Francis Research Resource Center “AXIS” (Area for experimental Inquiry into Science) with a coordinator for research in life sciences. Latest equipment is provided in the lab for research.
MassComm Studio
The college is fully equipped with audio / video teaching aids and a Mass Communication Lab cum studio.
Prayer Room
Tucked away in a quite corner is the Prayer Room – a heaven for those who seek moments of solitude in prayer and reflection.
Sports Field
A Huge Playground with basketball court and an indoor sports room for Table Tennis, Caroms etc. are provided for students with an interest in athletics and sports.
Gymnasium
A fitness studio under the supervision of a trained instructor has been set up. The studio is spacious with more than 1000 sq.ft., with full-length mirrors and is fully air-conditioned. It is equipped with the latest equipments with 7 cardio stations such as treadmills. Cross trainers and upright bikes. The Gym has tied up with a professional Nutritionist who upon request comes to the gym to provide Nutritional Counseling.
A Parking Area
The grounds also have adequate parking space allotted to students with 2 and 4 wheelers. Each year additional facilities are introduced to keep space with the academic growth of the college.
Students Service Centre and Common Room
Student Service Centre is equipped with facilities for Xerox, Project Binding, Lamination, Stationary etc.
Common Room provides students with a place for discussion & relaxation.
